hi hi hi,

heres a recent little ditty that i did for celery magazine. the accompanying article was a humor piece about the different ways people portray themselves on the internet.

oh yes! and hello to all the folks from around the world checking out my site! i’ve been fortunate enough to show up on a few cool blogs like warren ellis’, tigsource, indygamer, nerdarts, in addition to being a part of a few databases like illustration mundo. it’s really neat engaging and being a part of a community. so thanks again!

a few more detail picks after the jump…

i’ve been playing around and thinking a lot about ‘floating’ compositions, they look nice in print.

at one point i went a little overboard and started rendering the petals super representational, that took away too much from everything else so i scaled that back, flattening it out a bit.

these vine things are kind of strange and weird, eh?

I found this by accident, which seems the way most great things are found. I’m loving it. Can’t wait to show my grandkids since I encourage them to put it on paper, granddaughter 12 just seems to allow things to fall off the end of a pencil and enjoys the end result, Pooh and guys from memory, wild and tame birds, etc. Another 12, yup, twins, is into writing. Grandson, 8 wild cars and fantasy characters, go figure. Lots of paper and pens etc. are available.
How did I find you, I was thinking about all the photos I have taken and was planning on putting them together, a bazillion faces, well maybe 300, people, animals, mushrooms, they have faces too. After you have a run in with cancer you see all things differently and only the bright side.
I’m now going to cruise the rest of this site and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
