Earlier last month Zack Soto invited me to take part in the Magik Show at the Pony Club, a gallery he curates in Portland. The show opens April 3rd, come. Here is the first of three pieces, approx. 9″x6″, entitled drifter.

I decided to explore the idea of ‘lost magic’ – what happens to our imagination as we get older. Fantasy and play become less real to an adult, replaced by other things. Here we have a old and obsolete imaginary friend. Maybe someday he’ll be someone else’s friend.

I often wondered what happened to our imaginary friends when we stopped imagining them.

    Excellent work, keep it up.
